Healthcare access
in Metro Detroit.

We support community-led organizations working to bring primary physical healthcare closer to the people who need it most.

Explore our funding priorities

Because things can get better.

Small organizations can make a profound difference.

Metro Health Foundation funds worthy, underfunded projects that respond to the healthcare needs of at-risk urban communities.

Through grants and collaboration with peer foundations, we help local organizations turn limited resources into meaningful access to care.

Our story

Since 1986

Community came first.
It still does.

Metro Health Foundation’s roots trace to residents organizing around unmet primary healthcare needs in Hamtramck and Detroit’s east side.

That community-led purpose still guides the work today: helping local organizations bring dependable care within reach.
